It is time to gather again in 2021 for the VIth ISPAD/VAPES Conference. Since the COVID-19 pandemic severely disrupted face to face activities, our society (VAPES) decided to conduct the VIth ISPAD/VAPES „“@DIABETES AND RARE DISEASES“ entirely on-line. Instead of reuniting in April as always, we will have two afternoons in mid-November for about 3 hours each day. We are lucky to have top excellent speakers covering different aspects of modern diabetes and rare diseases.
After the success of the previous five ISPAD/VAPES meetings (2011 to 2019), local organizers (Varna Pediatric Endocrine Society, VAPES) aim to attract any interested pediatric endocrinologists, pediatricians, postgraduate trainees, medical students and nurses in 2021. Understanding the high demand towards the medical community as well as the additional barriers for our field of medicine from the current pandemic, we also decided to make the event as widely accessible as possible, and will require only a registration without any registration fee. We will use a platform that allows interaction with questions and answers after each session. We would also be happy if registered participants send in questions regarding the interesting to them topics before the event so that the speakers could address at least some of these during the talks.

After each day, you will be guided to a short evaluation survey. Those who had participated at least 50% of the time during the 4 sessions and fill in the survey, will receive a certificate by e-mail after the event.
The whole event will be held entirely in English. Before and after each day there are pharma symposia some of which will be in English, and others only in Bulgarian. You will receive separate invitations to those with further details.
